    This is a sales position that will require you to manage all aspects of business at a key distributor(s), including planning and coordinating food shows and sales meetings. You will also make operator calls and manage key accounts. You will be required to submit a PTC sales plan each period in accordance with the goals and objectives set by your manager. Reporting criteria includes submitting a weekly itinerary, maintaining a key account list, filling out and turning in a monthly expense report, and reporting all qualified sales calls in CRM. Responding to email in a timely manner is required, as is maintaining equipment (including a personal or company vehicle) in clean, working order. In addition, this position requires strong culinary ability.  Formal or recognized informal training is essential as you will need to train others, prepare creative dishes, and coordinate culinary aspects of food shows. You will be expected to develop strong working relationships with manufacturers, operators, and distributor personnel.

    The work environment is unstructured so self-motivation is key. Some overnight travel will be required. Physical Requirements may include: lifting of boxes and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs, loading/unloading equipment and samples, carrying sample bags in and out of accounts, standing / walking up to 11 hours at a food show, driving long distancesbetween calls.

    Full Job Description

    The Official Culinary School of the Miami Dolphins is looking for a Culinary/Baking Program Director to lead, direct, control functions and activities within the Culinary Academic Program. Including hiring instructors, assisting with scheduling of courses, providing coverage of classes, managing student issues, ordering equipment and supplies, conducting classroom observations of instructors, assisting with instructor performance evaluations, monitoring student attendance and retention, and facilities maintenance.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Provides leadership and direction in all aspects of programmatic administration functions
    • Provides active support to the college administration to help achieve the goals and objectives of the college
    • Directly supervises full and part-time instructors within the program of study, lab and teaching assistants
    • Provide an orientation training program for new instructors with the Dean or the Associate Dean
    • Assist the Dean, Associate Dean and Registrar with scheduling courses and Instructor assignments
    • Conduct regular classroom observations of Instructors. Conduct post-observation conferences
    • Assist with Instructor performance evaluations
    • Assist the Dean and Associate Dean to develop and monitor the professional development plan progress of Instructors
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and systems within the program

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor in Business Management or related areas
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level; preferably in the proprietary school setting
    • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in field
    • Diploma in Baking or Culinary
    • ServSafe® certification with National Restaurant Association
    • Bilingual- English and Spanish
